European violin made in Czech Republic. Strunal Schönbach was founded in 1922 and has continued to handcraft violins with the traditional methods. This Cremona model is based on a Guarneri pattern using specially selected European maple, beautifully flamed, for the back, sides and neck, and fine-grained European spruce for the top.  The violin is hand-finished with a deep orange-red spirit varnish, and then setup in the USA with ebony trimmings with Parisian Eye, ebony Guarneri style chinrest, ebony tailpiece with Wittner Hill style E-tuner, Despiau French bridge, and Pirastro Evah Pirazzi strings.

This full size Strunal Schönbach violin has a tiny little ding on the upper left bout. Please see pictures for more detail.
