How do I set up my cello bridge?

For safety reasons, we ship all of our cellos with the bridge displaced to prevent damage to the cello neck from the tension of the strings. To help you set up your cello bridge, we have created a helpful YouTube video. You can find it here:

When should I expect my instrument to arrive?

Orders are processed within 2-3 business days of purchase, during which our luthier performs a final inspection before shipping the instrument. All packages require a signature confirmation upon delivery. Shipping within the continental U.S. typically takes 2-5 business days after processing.

For specific inquiries about international orders or express shipping, please email dzstradm1@gmail.com.

What do I do if my instrument arrives damaged?

Every violin, viola, and cello that leaves our facility is meticulously set up to specifications by our on-site luthier. To prevent damage, we ship all cellos with their bridges down as an added precaution. We stand by our packing procedures and strive to ensure that all instruments arrive safely. However, once the package leaves our facility, it is beyond our control. The most common issue we encounter, though rare, is the shifting of sound posts during transit.

If you notice any issues with your instrument upon arrival, please notify us within 72 hours of receipt. (Please be aware that reporting damages outside this window may result in repair costs or depreciation charges.) In such cases, please contact us at dzstradm1@gmail.com, and we will work with you to resolve the issue. These matters will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of the D Z Strad staff.

Do you cover Import Duties/Tariff?

Please note that we do not cover any customs duties. If duties are charged by the customs office in the recipient's country, the responsibility for these fees lies with the customer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I don’t see one of your products from Amazon on DZStrad.com, do you no longer offer it?

Currently, some of our products are exclusive to Amazon. Please contact dzstradm1@gmail.com and we can answer questions about any of our products.

What is your Trade-In policy?

We accept trade-ins exclusively for D Z Strad instruments from the original purchasing customer, accompanied by the original receipt. Trade-ins are eligible only when purchasing a new instrument of higher value. Please note, we do not offer trade-ins for cash or store credit.

Our standard trade-in rate is up to 60% of the original purchase price, exclusive of any applicable discounts. The final trade-in value will be assessed by an on-site luthier and must be approved by management. We strongly recommend calling ahead to make an appointment to ensure a luthier is available when you arrive for a trade-in.

Please be aware that trade-in discounts cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotional offers. D Z Strad reserves the right to refuse trade-ins, with the final decision resting with management.
