Glaesel and worked out of the Markneukirchen (Saxon), Germany area of violin making.  He specialized in making instruments based on Lupot, Amati, and Stradivarius at the turn of the century.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis beautiful example of his work is a Stradivarius copy, as distinguished by its craftsmanship and as noted on its original label.  The violin features a tightly grained Spruce top with tight purfling inlaid close to the instrument’s edges.  The back plate is made of a single piece of beautifully flamed Maple and bears the E.M. brand stamp found on E.
